Our Services

Quality Health Services

We provide nursing, physician, and allied care services as well as healthcare education. In the spirit of providing integrated healthcare services to all our patients, our healthcare professionals often work together in a multidisciplinary health team to provide the best patient outcomes.

Essence Health Services continuously examine the services we provide and what is needed in the community. We look for cracks in the health care system, fill those, and move to fill new ones.

Below is a brief summary of what each service entails.

Where personal circumstances change, so can the care package. Our care packages are fully flexible and can be adapted at any time, to suit the client.

Our Services Include:

  • Supporting the Elderly to remain in their home
  • Personal Support for Children, Young People and their families
  • Dementia Care support
  • Nursing Care in Your Own home

Pediatric Care

What to Expect With In-Home Pediatric Care

Pediatric in-home care is the best option for children and families, as children feel most comfortable at home.

When a nurse or professional enters the home to assist in a child’s care, it’s important for the family to understand exactly what will happen. Knowing beforehand what to expect helps ease a family’s concerns and reduces the anxiety associated with professionals coming into the home for the first time.

Alzheimer's Care

Alzheimer’s disease is a specific type of dementia and is the most common cause of dementia in the Canada.

While memory loss is one of the most common indicators and symptoms of both dementia and Alzheimer’s disease specifically, it is not the only symptom. Dementia can affect behavior, speech, emotions and feelings and thought processes.

Senior / Adult Care

At Essence Health Services, care is a relationship, not a task

Our caregivers are chosen for a number of reasons. They undergo rigorous interviews, background checks, and references, and we look for one trait above all others: empathy.

With empathy at the core of our care, daily routines can become teaching moments that stir memories, stretch our brains, and keep our eyes on the important parts of life.

Mental Health Care

Essence Health Services  offers treatment for people with mental illness, while community mental health services, private psychiatric services and other specialist clinics also offer a range of other options for people who need intensive treatment options.

Mental health services for adults include:

  • Public hospitals – providing treatment for voluntary and compulsory patients through ‘acute in-patient wards’
